Meet Maya Murray! She came to camp for 4 years, but sadly has not been able to return due to busy summers! Mohawk was the first place she learned how to ride, and that fueled her passion to continue it outside of camp. She loved getting to see herself grow in her skill each year as she came back, and she credits that to the amazing horseback instructors we have here at Mohawk.

This past fall she competed in her first horse show in about a year. She is super proud of herself for gaining the confidence to compete in a horse show, and overcoming her fear of competing. We are definitely proud of our Mohawk sister for continuing with something that she loves!

Don’t worry! No Patrick’s were harmed in the making of this photo!

Former Mohican and Senior Unit leader Julia Riemer has been accepted into the Columbia Nursing Program for the fall! Julia is a long time Mohawker, and she says that working with the campers and trying to meet their needs really inspired her to pursue a career in nursing. Julia has shown her dedication to Mohawk through years of working at camp. We will miss her this summer, but we are so proud of Julia, and can’t wait to watch her succeed!

We are so proud of our Mohawk Alum!
