Our Day Camp means that you can experience all the magic of Mohawk, while still returning home to your family each evening. Each day, campers will enjoy craft and adventure periods, swim time, and more!
Children ages 5-12 are welcome to join us for as little as 1 week and as many as 8 weeks this summer.
Day campers will be put into groups based on age, and will have the opportunity to spend time within their groups, explore the grounds of YMCA Camp Mohawk, and have a summer they’ll never forget.
All sessions are $TBD per week
Horseback Riding Lessons are $TBD per week

Day camp sessions are one-week long. Day camp activities include arts & crafts, archery, swimming, boating, field sports, tennis, and so much more!
We will be hosting our Open House in the spring. Times to come.

*Every day each group will have a free swim period and boating/fishing during their activity periods. Lunch and snack will be provided. Campers who have severe allergies, dietary restrictions or choose not to eat the provided meals are welcome to pack a lunch.
The majority of our day camp staff are long-time Mohawk campers, who have worked their way up as campers, Counselors-in-Training (CITs), Junior Counselors, and Counselors! These talented young women have committed their summers to Mohawk and its campers for years and couldn’t imagine not giving another year to camp. We have also hired several local staff from other camps & youth programs. We are excited to have so many experienced, skilled counselors to help your campers have the summer of a lifetime.
Drop Off: 8:45am – 8:50am
We will have the option of parent drop off or a bus drop off. The bus will be making two stops: one at Litchfield Community Field and one at the Bantam Annex.
8:15am – Litchfield Community Field
8:30am – Arrive at Bantam Annex (80 Doyle Rd., Bantam, CT.)
Pick Up: 4:35pm – 4:45pm

When you come to pick up your child please make sure you have a photo I.D. ready. You will tell the staff member which child you are picking up and group they are in, and they will direct your car to where to go. You will need you show your I.D. to your child’s counselor once you get to where your child’s group is being picked up. Your child will have their Daily Dose of Day Camp form and any reminders for the following day in their camp folder.
Please be sure that your child has the following items each day for camp. Campers may leave any belongings they’d like in their cabin for the week.
On your child’s first day at camp, he or she will receive a zipped folder. This will have information about their day, any reminders for the following day, and any incident reports or notes if necessary. You may send notes to your child’s counselor, if necessary, via this folder as well. Please be sure that your child has their folder each day.
The required camper forms are now available online through your CampInTouch portal. The first icon once you sign in will be a yellow box labeled ‘Forms and Documents.’ From here, you will see there are multiple forms to complete:

Jess Deacon: Program Director
Jess, a Litchfield local and long-time Mohawker is thrilled to return to Mohawk as the Day Camp Program Director. Jess has been a camper and counselor at Camp Mohawk, and is the perfect fit for day camp.
Jess will work alongside caring, mature and well-trained counselors to give your camper the summer of a lifetime. Counselors are selected based on their experience with children, energy, creativity, and a desire to be a positive role model for children. All staff are required to participate in an intensive pre-season on-site training.
