Pay Scales

Junior Counselor

(Minimum age 17, minimum 4 week commitment & mandatory staff training)

Junior Counselor Rate: $450 per week

Counselor/Activity Instructor

(Minimum age 18, nine or ten week season)

All Counselors 18+ years old: $500 per week

International Counselor and Support Staff

Pay is according to the terms of your agency agreement.

Unit Leaders

(Minimum age 21, ten or eleven week season)

All Unit Leaders: $600 per week

Training

In instances where YMCA Camp Mohawk provides an opportunity for staff to attend a certification training program such as ropes course, archery, canoeing, rowing, sailing, lifesaving, etc., Camp Mohawk will pay the course fee.

Time spent attaining certifications at Mohawk’s expense is not reimbursable.

In the event of early departure from Mohawk, the course fee will be prorated and any balance due will be deducted from the contracted compensation amount.
