Our annual fundraising campaign, The Journey Forward, is kicking off its Spring initiative. Thanks to your incredible support, last year we were able to raise a total of $135,225. We are so grateful to the over 700 families and organizations who contributed to the campaign in 2022. It is because of your generosity and commitment to the Mohawk community that we can continue providing life-changing experiences for so many young people. These funds allowed 86 girls to attend camp who may not have been able to attend otherwise.
Our goal for The Journey Forward in 2023 is to raise $150,000. We believe that with your continued support, we can achieve this goal and help even more children attend camp.
In addition to our traditional fundraising efforts, we are proud to be in our third year partnering with the YMCA of New York to provide fully subsidized opportunities for children from the city to attend Mohawk. This partnership has been incredibly successful, and we are working hard to find ways to address the transportation limitations that have prevented some children from being able to take advantage of this opportunity.
We know that attending camp can be a transformative experience for children, and we are committed to ensuring that as many young people as possible are able to benefit from the programs and opportunities offered at Mohawk.
