Fall 2024
It has been a wonderful summer and early fall season. Camp was absolutely buzzing, with more campers joining us in 2024 than I can remember. Session 5 was a surprise with 140 campers, rather than the usual 70, making it feel very much like a regular week of camp. With enrollment doing so well, we’re able to keep moving forward with our Master Site Plan.
Right now, we're building a new boardwalk that will stretch from the ball field, through the swamp, and all the way to the beach. Our Jawak Shower House was finished just in time, and next up, the Ute Unit is getting a big upgrade! We're adding new front porches and expanding each cabin so we can welcome 10 campers instead of 8. We hope to have this ready by summer.
This fall has also been busy with some wonderful weekend groups. Our Mother Daughter Weekend was so popular that we had to add a second session, and both weekends were amazing! Many potential new campers tried out camp for the weekend. We also had a fantastic turnout for the Women's Wellness Weekend. Even though we didn’t have an official Alumni Weekend this year, many alumni joined us then, adding an extra dash of Mohawk spirit. And now, we're gearing up for Pumpkin Fest in just a few days—it's shaping up to be lots of fun!
Mikayla is already hard at work hiring staff for next summer, and Jo just opened public registration this week. We're already about 80% full for 2025! I’m so excited about what lies ahead and can’t wait to see all the new improvements we’ll have ready for our campers by next summer.
May the spirit last a lifetime,
Patrick Marchand, CEO
