Spring 2025
Muddy, freezing, rainy, foggy - and yet it’s always wonderful at camp. The driveway is a mess after the frost and all the construction traffic, but we’ll be tackling repairs soon.
Enrollment for 2025 is looking fantastic. We’re ahead of last year and bursting at the seams. Mikayla has nearly completed summer staff hiring. We’re still looking for a Waterfront Director and a Camp Nurse for Session 4 (Aug 3–16). If you’re interested, or know someone who might be, please give me a call.
We’re feeling really positive heading into the summer, especially with key staff returning as Program Directors and CIT Directors. We’re also lucky to have our chefs back in action. Mikayla, Elmer, William, and I spent half a day at a food show last week, and we’re making upgrades across the board - especially for dietary-restricted options.

There’s a massive list of projects to finish before summer, including the Ute cabins expansion, a new Waterfront Shed, interior siding in the Jawak cabins, renovating the boot room near the stables, converting the Photography space into a Ceramics studio, and updating the Health Center vanity and flooring - plus a few smaller items. We’re also starting plans for our third shower house (for 2026), beginning the design process for a new Dining Hall, and preparing for a Capital Campaign.
Our Board of Directors, and all our committees, have been working hard to put us in a great position to succeed with these goals. I’m looking forward to our Strategic Planning outing with the Board this May.
I’m excited that summer is almost here, the projects are moving forward, and the campers will soon be arriving.
